In Rekindle’s Seattle voice over classes…

…you will learn the fundamentals of voice acting. The course will cover breath control, warm-ups, emotional range, the creation of characters, how to set up a home recording studio, and more.

You’ll learn about the real world of voice acting, and dive into actually doing it — get some practice in several different genres — get feedback and coaching — get tips about how to set up a home studio — and do some actual voice acting practice in class. You’ll get lots of practice and in-person feedback, learn about voice acting opportunities for actors, and where to post your reel and find voice over jobs and gigs.

About the Instuctor

Nils Osmar has taught Acting and Filmmaking classes since 1998. He has acted on the sage and in front of the camera, directed stage plays and independent films, and done voice acting in several independent films. He taught voice acting classes and workshops in previous years through the University of Washington’s Experimental College.

About our Seattle Voice Over classes!

There’s acting on stage or in front of the camera – and then there’s voice acting.  Voice acting is the art of doing voice-over work on a wide range of features such as TV shows and feature films, animated shorts, commercials, radio plays, documentaries, video games and more.

In voice acting, the actor’s face never appears on screen, but he or she has the opportunity to create a character and make a connection with the audience using only vocals.  An actor might be twenty, forty, or sixty years old, but using your voice you can create a character of any age, nationality or species.

You can use your voice to create characters who are svelte and frumpy, attractive or repulsive, hopeless or sexy, young or old, funny or dramatic. Voice acting is fun, and a great way for actors to improve their general acting skills on and off the screen.   Most students in our voiceover classes are adults. Our in person voiceover classes are the perfect way to start learning and improving your voice acting skills.
