Ali’s possible objectives
- Ali’s objective might be to get Shay to realize their relationship is really done and over by telling Shay the blunt truth about the guy Ali went out with (and all the other guys since their breakup)
- Ali might be trying to make Shay jealous so they will get back together.
- Ali might be trying to get Shay’s approval – i.e., trying to impress Shay with the supposed good choices Ali is now making, however weird they are, i.e., “He’s a doctor, you know. Or he will be…”
Shay’s possible objectives
- Shay might be worried about Ali and trying to get them to make safer life choices.
- Shay might be in love with Ali and wanting to get back together.
- Shay might be a little tired of the drama and looking for an excuse to end their friendship permanently.
