Acting 101 Assignment – “Kill My Uncle” Script

The script to memorize for this week is below.
As always, it’s fine to come to class even if you don’t have it completely memorized; but to get the most benefit from the exercise, I would recommend fully memorizing it. Remember that the one word – one letter method works well for most people.… And works best if you also move around the room, saying the words while doing physical things after memorizing them. That helps to lock the words into both hemispheres of your brain and you’ll remember it better.
Some free or very cheap apps for actors to memorize lines on an iPhone include LineLearner (Lite) for recording and playing back scenes, Script Rehearser for customizable audio, and Memorize By Heart for removing letters/words. These apps often use text-to-speech, recording capabilities, and blackout features to help actors learn lines more easily.
